Macon’s 25th Annual Kwanzaa Festival post thumbnail

Macon’s 25th Annual Kwanzaa Festival will be featured with special events December 26th through 31st.

  • The premiere night Tuesday, December 26th at the Douglass Theatre at 7 p.m., will feature live music, dance, film excerpts, the Unity Day Kwanzaa ceremony, a San Kofa Journey from Macon to Ghana and more. Admission is free to the public.
  • Wednesday, December 27th brings Youth Nite of Self Determination, another exciting evening beginning at 7 p.m. at the Douglass Theatre. This annual free admission open mic occasion invites local youth to showcase their talents in positive hip hop, singing, diverse styles of dance, poetry, performing musical instruments, martial arts and more on the Douglass stage.
