Mrs. Lucille Blash, the youngest of six siblings and the sole survivor among them, has witnessed a century of change and progress. Her journey began on Jeffersonville Road, where she grew up before moving to Pleasant Hill. Over the years, she has made significant contributions to our community through her hard work and unwavering spirit.

Throughout her life, Mrs. Lucille demonstrated an extraordinary work ethic and commitment to excellence. She worked diligently at Gem Cleaners and later provided dedicated service as a housekeeper for Dr. Ben Dixon and lawyer Mr. Hugh Wallace. Her impeccable work and kind nature left an indelible mark on those she served.

A devoted member of Harmony Baptist Church, Mrs. Lucille’s faith has been a cornerstone of her life. Her love for gardening, ironing clothes, and shopping are well-known and cherished by those who know her. These simple yet profound pleasures have brought joy to her and those around her.

Mrs. Lucille’s family stands as a testament to her legacy. She is the proud mother of her only surviving child, Angela Blash, and the cherished grandmother of one granddaughter and one great-grandson. Her family’s love and support have been a constant source of strength and happiness throughout her life.
