Innovative Partnership Launches Transformative Workshop:
“AI Explained: Leveraging AI to Improve Your Life”
Partners Lead the Change in AI Workshop & Annual CGCBB Business Networking Mixer
Macon, GA – November 12, 2024 – The Central Georgia Coalition of Black Business (CGCBB) proudly partnered with Wesleyan College’s Leadership Lab to present an insightful workshop on artificial intelligence, titled “AI Explained: Leveraging AI to Improve Your Life.” This collaboration was part of Wesleyan College’s ongoing Speaker Series, aimed at empowering the community through knowledge and skill-building.
The event, held on Monday, November 11, 2024, at the Wesleyan College Leadership Lab, saw a fantastic turnout from community members eager to learn about the practical applications of AI in their personal and professional lives. Led by industry experts Erika M. Smith of Microsoft and Christele Parham from Macon Black Tech, the workshop offered attendees a unique opportunity to understand the capabilities of artificial intelligence and how it can be utilized for empowerment and economic growth.
Attendees interacted directly with the speakers, who shared their expertise in financial technology, business strategy, and community engagement. With a hands-on approach, participants explored how AI tools can enhance productivity, streamline business operations, and support growth initiatives. “Our aim was not only to inform but to inspire,” said Erika M. Smith. “AI has the power to transform our community, and we’re committed to making sure everyone has access to the knowledge needed to harness it.”
The workshop was followed by a networking session and Business Mixer, offering participants an opportunity to connect, share insights, and establish meaningful partnerships. Christele Parham added, “It’s collaborations like these that spark growth and progress in our community. We were thrilled to engage with such a dynamic group.”
