The Tubman African-American Museum in Macon held an expo on Monday night with the goal of helping the community grow.

The expo showcased the 25th anniversary of the Macon-Middle Georgia Black Pages and Resource Guide.

The event brought together business owners and consumers from across Macon.

Each publication of the Black Pages has a specific focus, and this year’s was downtown development.

“Because it’s bustling, you know, it’s growing phenomenally. And I think that this is one of the key answers to moving our community forward,” said Alex C. Habersham, publisher of the Macon Black Pages. “So we certainly wanted to acknowledge, you know, all the growth and all the development and all of the lofts and the education and the night life and all of the good things that are going on in downtown Macon.”
