Alex C. Habersham, publisher of the Macon Middle Georgia Black Pages announced today that the publication will celebrate its 25th anniversary in the spring of 2017. A business networking event will be held at the historical Tubman Museum, 310 Cherry St, Macon, Georgia on October 25 from 5:30 p.m. – 8:30 p.m. to formally announce plans for this commemorative silver anniversary edition.
The theme for this special edition is “Macon Black Pages: A Driving Force for Economic, Education, Social and Civic Development for 25 Years”. The publication will highlight some of Middle Georgia’s major initiatives from the past publications that have helped to proactively foster the economic, educational, social, and civic development of the area. Since 1991, The Black Pages has served as the premier resource for emphasizing the important role that African American consumers and businesses play in the economic development of our community. Habersham stated that “the demand for a publication of this type reinforces the principle that when one segment of the population begins to do better economically and becomes self-sufficient, the entire community generally benefits.”
You do not want to miss this event! Hundreds of consumers and business owners from throughout Middle Georgia are expected to attend. It will be like no other business Networking event in the area. Participants will be provided detailed information about advertising in this 25th silver edition of The Black Pages. Additionally, the attendees will have an opportunity to network with business owners from the area, become familiar with their products/professional services and exchange business cards.
Admission is FREE and local sponsors will offer FREE Giveaways. Habersham stated that “Together we can continue to make a major difference in ensuring that our Middle Georgia businesses thrive!”
