MACON, Georgia – Macon Pops will kick off their 12th Season with “What the Funk?!” A night of funky beats and soulful rhythms at Mercer University’s Hawkins Arena, Friday, August 16th at 7:30PM. In addition to the high-energy, world-class Macon Pops orchestra highlighting musicians from across the southeast, featured performers include Macon’s own Charles Davis, co-host of The Creek FM’s “Creekside Mornings” and lead singer of The Macon Music Revue, as well as Brenda Nicole Moorer, frequent Macon Pops collaborator and distinctive vocalist, songwriter, and genre-bending jazz artist who explores musical boundaries from Folk to Funk.

Macon Pops will take the stage at Hawkins Arena to deliver an electrifying performance that will keep you grooving all night long. From classic funk jams to modern hits with a funky twist, this is an event you won’t want to miss! All Mercer students and staff attend for FREE (no ticket necessary) with valid Student/Faculty ID. Mercer family and alumni receive 15% off tickets using code “MERCERPOPS.”

All ticketing options include access to concert, not inclusive of food/drink; concessions not available for purchase; outside food (excluding beverages) may be brought into the venue. Full cash bar onsite. Tickets are available starting at $25 (general admission), $40 (table seat), and $50 (premium table seat). Attendees may also reserve an entire Table seating 10 for $400 or a Premium Table (closest to the stage) for $500.
